Dr James Tang is an accredited nephrologist and transplant physician in Sydney.
He is a Senior Staff Specialist at St Vincent’s hospital Sydney with special interests in transplantation. He completed his PhD on kidney transplantation and optimising patient healthcare, and received a scholarship for his research. Dr Tang has also published multiple peer-reviewed research papers in the area. He is also actively involved in teaching medical students and junior medical officers.
Dr Tang is a caring and compassionate physician, committed to providing excellent personalised care to his patients. He manages all aspects of kidney disease. He believes that your kidney health journey is unique to you and he aims to help you navigate this with state of the art knowledge and services.
Dr Tang sees all aspects of kidney disease including hypertension (high blood pressure), diabetic related kidney disease, acute and chronic kidney disease, kidney stones and urinary tract infections.

GASTROENTEROLOGIST AND HEPATOLOGIST
Dr Yanna Ko is an accredited Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist. Dr Ko is a compassionate clinician who has a passion for holistically improving gut health and overall wellbeing.
She manages all aspects of gastrointestinal and liver disorders, including reflux, constipation, diarrhoea, bowel cancer screening and surveillance and iron deficiency.
Dr Ko's goal is to ensure all of her patients feel heard and cared for. She strives to provide the best patient-centered care possible for all of her patients.
Dr Ko has been passionate about advancing the field of gastroenterology through research, and combining the latest knowledge in this area of medicine with personalised patient care for her patients. As a result of her efforts, Dr Ko has received many awards including the prestigious NHMRC research award for her ongoing research into gut disorders (irritable bowel syndrome and the microbiome). She has also published multiple peer-reviewed research articles, and presented at national and international gastroenterology conferences.
Dr Ko has been awarded accreditation for performing gastroscopies and colonoscopies by the Conjoint Committee for the Recognition of Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. She is an alumnus at the University of New South Wales, and completed her training in many Sydney hospitals including Concord Hospital.
Dr Ko is multilingual and can consult in Mandarin and Cantonese.
